Summer in Venice is pleasant except for high humidity, with day temperatures hovering in the region of 23 to 27 degrees Celcius. Come winter and Venice is shrouded in cool mist with temperatures dropping to a cool 2 degrees C. The summer and winter haze does obscure the view of the Alps from the city. Spring and autumn bring clear weather and the brisk northerly wind whisks away mosquitoes and staves off the warmth of the sirocco.
